Reminder: Matawan-Aberdeen Schools Open on Friday Before President's Day

Due to school closures in October and November for Hurricane Sandy, the school district will be open on Friday, Feb. 15.

All schools within the Matawan-Aberdeen District will be open on Friday, Feb. 15.

Matawan-Aberdeen schools were closed for ten days in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, however two days were already scheduled off for the NJEA teachers' conference. Therefore, local schools need to account for eight missed instrucational days.

Four emergency days are built in at the end of the calendar, so the tentative last day of school for the 2012-13 academic year will now be June 27.
