Police: Wallet Stolen From Car at ShopRite of Aberdeen

A look at Aberdeen Township Police activity between April 3 and April 9, 2013.

The Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to or initiated 381 calls for service between April 3 and April 9, 2013, including eight suspicious persons/vehicles; twelve alarms; 16 first aid calls; ten motor vehicle crashes; five thefts; one domestic violence incident, three disorderly persons, one assault, one burglary, and 163 motor vehicle stops, according to Chief John Powers. Officers also issued 132 motor vehicle summonses.

The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests April 3, 2013 through April 9, 2013:

  • P.O. Anthony Marone arrested a 41-year-old Red Bank woman on contempt warrants out of Holmdel and Little Egg Harbor municipal courts following a motor vehicle stop on Highway 35 on April 4.
  • Richard M. Pallitto, Jr., Hazlet, and Dominique E. McFarlane, 25, Orange, were arrested on contempt warrants out of multiple municipal courts following a motor vehicle stop on Highway 35 on April 6.  Mr. Pallitto was also charged with driving while suspended, driving an uninsured vehicle, and driving an unregistered vehicle.  P.O. John Zeller and P.O. Frank Maisano were the arresting officers.
  • Natasha R. Virgilio, 26, Little Egg Harbor, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin and crack cocaine) following an incident on Matawan Ave. on April 6.  P.O. John Zeller was the arresting officer.
  • Robert S. Guindi, 35, South River, was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding, and reckless driving following a motor vehicle stop on Highway 35 on April 7. P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
  • On April 8 Sgt. Hank Chevalier arrested 37-year-old Old Bridge man for theft and theft by deception related to an incident on Highway 34.
  • P.O. Matthew McDow arrested a 37-year-old township man for defiant trespassing at the Blue Rock Café, Amboy Ave., on April 9.

  • On April 3 P.O. Anthony Marone responded to a disorderly persons report on Wayside Dr.
  • P.O. Mary Johnston investigated a report of terroristic threats on Hwy. 34 on April 4.
  • On April 4 P.O. Mary Johnston responded to a report of harassment on Locust St.
  • On April 4 a Matawan Terrace resident reported a suspicious male subject on her second-floor balcony.  P.O. Michael Lasko responded.
  • A resident of Ken Gardens apartments, Matawan Ave., reported on April 4 someone used her identity to open a credit card account and make fraudulent purchases.  Special Officer Michael Scarpa took the report.
  • P.O. Christopher DeSarno responded to a parent-child dispute on Ivyhill Dr. on April 5.
  • On April 6 a taxicab driver reported a male subject fled without paying the full fare after dropping him off on Gaston St.  P.O. Martin Walsh investigated.
  • P.O. Christopher DeSarno responded to a report of harassment at Avalon apartments, Central Ave., on April 6.
  • On April 7 a Ferland Lane resident reported someone attempted to open fraudulent store credit accounts using his identity. P.O. Mary Johnston took the report.
  • P.O. Anthony Valentino responded to a customer dispute at the Shop Rite store, Lloyd Rd. on April 7.
  • On April 8 a Milton Ave. resident reported that someone entered his two unlocked vehicles overnight and took change. P.O. Darryl Richardson responded.
  • On April 9 P.O. John Young responded to a trespassing complaint on North Concourse.
  • A Long Branch resident reported someone entered his vehicle and took his wallet containing cash and identification while he was in the Shop Rite store, Lloyd Rd., on April 9.  P.O. Jeffrey Griffith took the report.
  • On April 9 P.O. Anthony Marone investigated the burglary of a unit at an industrial park on Lloyd Rd.
