Aberdeen Township Police Blotter: July 13-July 17

Arrests and incidents handled by the Aberdeen Township Police Department between July 13 and July 17

The Aberdeen Township Police reported the following incidents:

  • A resident of Wilson Avenue reported several solar powered outdoor lights stolen from her property sometime during the night or early morning of July 13 into July 14. The value of the lights was estimated at $70.00. P.O. Gus Grivas took the report.
  • On July 15, 2011 a resident of Matawan Avenue reported the attempted burglary of his house that took place sometime between July 7 and July 12. An attempt to pry open the front door was made, but there was no entry. P.O. Martin Walsh conducted the initial investigation.

The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests:

  • Michael A. Seaman, 54, of Keyport, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on July 16, 2011 at approximately 12:40 a.m. following a motor vehicle crash involving parked vehicles on Amboy Avenue. He was released pending a court appearance. Officer Brian Alberti made the arrest.
  • Algirdas Stugys, 52, Cambria Street, Staten Island, NY, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on July 16, 2011 at approximately 10:46 PM after he was found asleep in his vehicle in the entrance to a business on Lloyd Road. He was charged with DWI, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, and other motor vehicle offenses and was released pending a court appearance. Officer Raymond Campbell made the arrest.
  • Keith A. Hoelz, 50, of Aberdeen, was arrested on July 17, 2011 at approximately 11:08 AM by P.O. Michael Lasko following a domestic violence incident at his residence. He was charged with harassment and criminal mischief and released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.
