Aberdeen Man Accused of Performing Lewd Acts in View of Teen Girls

He was arrested Wednesday for the alleged November incident that involved a pair of 14-year-old girls.

An Aberdeen man was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts each of criminal sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child after a November incident near VFW Park on Cliffwood Avenue.

On Nov. 29 at about 3 p.m., Aberdeen Township Police received a report of a male performing a lewd act inside of his vehicle in view of two 14-year-old girls. 

Police say that after a brief verbal encounter, the male removed the license plates from his car and spead off in order to avoid getting caught.

Sgt. Matthew Lloyd was the responding officer.

The subsequent investigation, conducted by Det. Louis Nanna and Sgt. Henry Chevalier, led police to identify Amir Zebardast, 31, of West Prospect Avenue as the perpetrator.

Zebardast was released after posting $20,000 bail with no 10% cash option.

An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
