Obituary: Harold Berger, 62, of Matawan

Harold worked as a Health and Physical Education teacher for Jamesburg's Board of Education.

Harold I. Berger, 62, of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Harold was born on October 11, 1950 in Hillside, New Jersey, where he grew up. In 1975, he relocated to Clark, New Jersey and in 1984, moved to Brick, New Jersey, for a period of time. In 1998, he ultimately settled in the Matawan/Old Bridge/Middlesex area of New Jersey.

Harold worked as a Health and Physical Education teacher for Jamesburg's Board of Education. He was predeceased by his parents, Abraham and Judith (Sommer) Berger. Harold is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Laura (Kublbock) Berger, his loving children, Susan Smith and her husband Chris of Mays Landing, New Jersey, Jessica Berger of Brick, New Jersey, George Wolf and his wife Heidi of Monroe, New Jersey, and Theresa Wolf of Matawan, New Jersey, his dear brother and sister, Fred Berger and his wife Marilyn of Gloucester Point, Virginia, Bonnie Berger-Neel and her husband Jim of Wildwood, Illinois, along with his cherished grandchildren, Laila Wolf, Benjamin Smith and Noah Smith and many cherished nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday morning, April 4, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. Interment will follow at Marlboro Memorial Park Cemetery, 361 Highway 79, Morganville, New Jersey 07751.
