Obituary: Eucharistic Minister with St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church Dies at 84

Lorraine G. Applegate, 84, of Cliffwood Beach, passed away, Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was born in Newark and resided there before moving to Cliffwood Beach 70 years ago. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School, South Amboy. Lorraine worked for Connect Tron, Laurence Harbor as an office manager. She retired at 65 and was a homemaker for the past 15 years. She loved to dance. She was a Eucharistic Minister and Trustee with St. Lawrence RC Church, Laurence Harbor.

Lorraine was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Vincent Applegate in 2012; and her parents, Alexander and Grace Kapperer. She is survived by her loving children, Vincent Applegate, Jr. of Cliffwood Beach; Marilyn Ackermann and husband Donald of Toms River; and Lorraine Reynolds of FL; a sister, Marilyn Tabasko; 12 cherished grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited Friday, April 12, 2013, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Saturday, 8AM at the funeral home, with a 9AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence RC Church, Laurence Harbor.
