Founder of Central Park Boys Club of Old Bridge Dies at 97

He was also an avid fisherman and gardener.

Raymond J. Stanley, 97, of Old Bridge, passed away at home, Sunday, June 23, 2013. He was born in Jersey City. He worked as an electrician for RCA, Harrison, then with General Electric, Bloomfield. Ray founded the Central Park Boys Club of Old Bridge; he was an avid fisherman and gardener. 

Raymond was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose Feher Stanley in 1990; his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (Stephan) Stanley; Three sisters and two brothers.  He is survived by two loving sons, Stephen and wife Deborah and Raymond and wife Barbara, all of Old Bridge; a brother, Eugene Stanley of Whitehouse Station; four cherished grandchildren, Ray, Jason, Christopher and Kate; two precious great grandchildren, Alexis and Kailey; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited Tuesday,  June 25, 2013, from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735l and Wednesday, June 26, 2013, 8AM at the funeral home, with a 9AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, Colts Neck.  Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown.
