Week Ahead: BRSA Meeting, ESL Class

A look at meetings and events this week in Matawan and Aberdeen

Monday, April 9

The Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority will meet Monday night at 7 p.m. at 100 Oak Street in Union Beach. The that handles the raw sewage of eight towns, by transporting, treating and disposing it, and discharging cleaned water into the Raritan Bay.  The authority performs this essential service for Union Beach, Holmdel, Keyport, Hazlet, Keansburg, Matawan, Aberdeen and parts of Marlboro. The authority bills the municipalities, which in turn bill the households hooked up to the system via sewer rates.

The is offering Adult English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for free on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Beginner, intermediate and advanced ESL level speakers welcome. Registration is required. To register, stop by the library, call 732-583-9100, or email Jill at jstafford@lmxac.org.

The Matawan Aberdeen Library Board will meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m. This meeting is open to the public and takes place in the downstairs meeting room.

The Matawan Aberdeen Rotary Club will meet on Thursday at 12:15 at the Buttonwood Manor.
