Shore Flicks' Outdoor Movie Series Returns to Matawan for Summer 2013

The Free Summer Movie Series presented by XFINITY will feature 65 nights of movies in 15 towns throughout Monmouth County plus Long Beach Island.

Grab your children, a blanket and some snacks for two free movie nights on the lawn of the Matawan Municipal Community Center this summer.

Shore Flicks will present Wreck-it Ralph on July 19 and Jaws on Aug. 23 just after sundown free-of-charge thanks to XFINITY and a number of local sponsors, according to a Shore Flicks press release Monday.

As in previous years, each night Shore Flicks will be collecting non-perishable food items to be distributed to food banks and pantries throughout the area. This summer the Free Summer Movie Series presented by XFINITY will also support two charitable organizations, the RAINE Foundation and Sea Bright Rising.

In addition to the shows in Matawan, movies will be shown outdoors in fourteen other Monmouth County towns and in Long Beach Island.

"In the aftermath of Sandy, we couldn't be more thrilled about being back on the beaches and in the parks," said Shore Flicks owner TJ Brustowicz in the release. "Especially in towns that were so directly affected like Sea Bright, Keyport, and Spring Lake."
