Sponsorship Opportunities for Aberdeen Day 2012

There are four levels of sponsorship ranging from $250 to $1,000

Sponsorship and a variety of other opportunities are now available for local businesses and organizations for the redesigned Aberdeen Day celebration on Saturday, September 22 at and various locations around town.

“This year, in an effort to expose residents of Aberdeen and surrounding towns to more of what the township and its businesses have to offer, our newly-formed Business Council is working with our administration to give Aberdeen Day a whole new dimension,” said Township Manager Holly Reycraft.

While Matawan Regional High School will continue to serve as the setting for the Classic Car Show, entertainment, children’s rides, vendor tables, food concessions, and a crafts fair, plans are in the works for the revamped Aberdeen Day to include a series of new events throughout the day at various locations including:

  • A morning fishing contest at Cliffwood Beach;
  • Day-long sidewalk sales at participating shopping centers;
  • A ‘Mayors Trophy’ softball game between fire companies at Fireman’s Field; and
  • A ‘Dine Aberdeen’ coupon program offering special discounts at participating Aberdeen restaurants from morning to night

With four different levels of sponsorship ranging in price from $250 to $1,000, opportunities exist for businesses of all sizes and budgets.  The packages offer exposure prior to and during the municipality’s annual celebration, including mentions on the township website, and in press releases, advertising and on signage at the event.  Monetary donations at other levels or donations of goods would also be welcome.

“Sponsorship of Aberdeen Day offers local businesses the opportunity to introduce themselves to the thousands of residents of all ages from Aberdeen and surrounding communities who take part in our annual event,” said Aberdeen Recreation Director Jim Colabelli.
