Armed Man Robbed Pizza Delivery Man in Aberdeen, Police Say

The victim told police he was attacked by a masked man with a gun.

A pizza delivery man was robbed by a man armed with a handgun Saturday in Aberdeen, according to Police Chief John Powers.

The 39-year-old victim told police that he had just finished making a delivery to a Nathan Court home when he was attacked by a man wearing a black ski mask. The attacker displayed a handgun and demanded money, according to Powers. He fled the scene with an undisclosed quantity of cash and an iPhone.

The victim described his attacker as a black male with a thin build, dressed in a white T-shirt, dark shorts and a ski mask. He is estimated to be about 25 years old, 5-foot 5 inches tall, and 120 pounds, according to Powers.

Police Officer Edgar Serrano, Sgt. David Mauro and Sgt. Hank Chevalier investigated the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the detective bureau at 732-566-2054.

On June 29, a similar robbery took place on Geary Drive in Middletown. Two men, one armed with a handgun and the other with a bat, attached a pizza delivery man after he finished making a delivery and was getting back into his car. One of the men, described by the victim as a black male wearing a ski mask, showed a handgun during the incident. They fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Powers said the department does not have any information indicating that the incidents are related, however detectives are investigating all possibilities.
