Three Ways To Give Back at the Matawan Aberdeen Public Library

Looking to give back this holiday season? The Matawan Aberdeen Library has several ways for you to benefit the community.

Food For Fines

Did you lose your library card or forget to return your book on time? The library will waive library card fees and late fees in exchange for non-perishable food items and toiletries. Items should not be past their due date, and may include, although not limited to, canned goods, boxed pasta, laundry detergent, toothpaste, deoderant and diapers. The program runs until Dec. 31.

Mitten Tree

The Children's Room at the library is collecting new mittens, gloves, scarves and hats for children and adults in need from the Matawan and Aberdeen community. Everyone who donates gets their name placed on a paper mitten hung on a Christmas tree. The program runs until Dec. 12

Woman's Club Giving Tree

The Woman's Club of Matawan is collecting books for the Clinton Street School afterschool program. They are looking for specific books (available in the photo section of this article) and offer an ornament in exchange for the donation.

It is hard to read the list of books. Can you post a clearer list?
