Bandit is Looking to Steal Your Heart

Castle of Dreams has several dogs up for adoption, like this sweetheart named Bandit.

October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, and this week Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue (CODAR) sent Patch seven dogs looking for a permanent, loving home.

CODAR is an Aberdeen-based, non-profit canine rescue group that takes in dogs from high-kill shelters and puppy mills along the east coast and works to find them any necessary medical attention, foster care and a forever home.

Information on each pooch is included in the caption under their photo, as well as below. If you are interested in adopting any of the animals in the slideshow, fill out the application online at www.castle-of-dreams.com.

Sierra

Sierra is a one and a half year old Chihuahua mix. She weighs eight pounds and is up to date on her shots, spayed and micro-chipped. She is a sweet dog who loves to sit with her person. She gets along with other dogs her own size, but this tiny little girl would prefer a home without larger dogs. She is good with kids and cats. Sierra is a gentle soul who is looking for a lifelong friend. Could that be you?

Adrian

Adrian is an adorable combination of Chihuahua and Boston Terrier. She weighs thirteen pounds and is about a year and a half old. Her original owner rescued her from the flea market when she was a baby. Adrian is a very shy girl at first, but once she gets over her shyness there's nothing to stop her from loving you. She loves to cuddle and get belly rubs and loves to play. She wants nothing more than to lay on your lap and snuggle. She is house-trained and crate-trained. She loves to walk and is excellent on a leash.

Bandit

Bandit is eight years old. He is healthy and up to date with his vaccinations. Bandit is so sweet and he loves to play with other dogs. He is really calm and likes to sit on the couch a lot. He is also very easy to walk and doesn’t bark much either. He is so easy going and quiet that you don't even know he's around. This gentle pup loves getting his Milk Bones every day. Bandit also loves kids and is great with people. He is neutered and housebroken.

Thor and Wrinkles

Thor and Wrinkles are very friendly siblings. They both love people and other dogs, are good with kids, and do not have a mean bone in their hairless little bodies. They are funny and active. The love going outside, love cuddling and just love everything. They seem to be housebroken. Born on 2/2/2012, these sweet boys were dumped in a kill shelter in Louisiana. Complete with NO hair and t-shirts! They can be adopted together or separately.

Minnie

Minnie, a Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix is timid at first, but warms up to people very quickly and gets along with everyone. Very sweet, she loves toys and feels safe in her crate. She gets along well with other dogs and likes to play. This tiny girl won't take up much room in your home, but she’ll take up tons of room in your heart once you meet her.
