Aberdeen PD Investigating Church Street Burglary

Police say the front door was forced open

The front door of a home on Church Street near the intersection of Line Drive was forced open today, according to Aberdeen Township Police.

Chief of Police John Powers said the home was entered between 8 a.m. and noon while the resident was out. Jewelry and a video camera were taken.

Police are urging to take precautions when they go out, such as leaving lights, radios, and televisions on. Any suspicious activity should be reported immediately.

Solicitors are required to obtain permits from the township clerk, which are kept on file with the police department.

Anyone who was in the area during the time period and may have information should contact the detective bureau at 732-566-2054.
