Matawan Man Indicted on Drug Charges in Asbury Park
Investigators say he intended to sell a narcotic near a school.
A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Matawan man on charges he was in possession of drugs in the area of a school and a public housing facility in Asbury Park. Investigators say Calgiano Ulysse, of Crossroad Avenue, had methylone on him within 1,000 feet of Mount Carmel School and within 500 feet of Washington Village. He allegedly had the intent to sell the drug, investigators say. According to the FBI, Methylone provides a similar effect as ecstasy and is often sold under the guise of "bath salts." The narcotic is becoming increasingly popular among teens and young adults.
