iCIMS swapped their business attire for sneakers and a day of giving back to Monmouth County
It was a sunny, Wednesday afternoon when employees of iCIMS and their friends and family gathered to help Clean Ocean Action tidy up an area of beach in Sandy Hook. Volunteers took to the seven mile stretch of beach to remove pollution from the area in an effort to protect the over 300 species of migratory birds and forestry indigenous to the area, according to a press release issued by the company. They focused their efforts in Plum Island, on the bay side of Sandy Hook, explained iCIMS Talent Direct Patricia Morris Finaldi, who participated in the event. The software-as-a-service company moved to Matawan in March and reports strong continued growth
The software-as-a-service company iCIMS reports record growth over the last six months, particularly in the areas of revenue, customers, and employees, according to a press release from the company. iCIMS CEO and Founder Colin Day began the software-as-a-service company 1999 in Hazlet, as a spin off of Comprise Technology. The goal of the company remains the same, to make recruiting job candidates and onboarding new employees extremely efficient for growing companies. iCIMS grew too large for their Hazlet location, and moved to 90 Matawan Road in March 2012. Twelve years ago a small software-as-a-service provider spun off of Comrise Technology in Hazlet with one goal: to make recruiting candidates and onboarding new employees extremely efficient for growing companies. Colin Day, the founder and CEO of iCIMS, was just 23 when he developed the business plan for an applicant tracking system that can be used by employers to connect to job seekers, recruit candidates and onboard new employees. Since then, iCIMS has grown to over 200 employees serving over 1,200 clients with international offices in Beijing and the United Kingdom. This is great and all but considering it cost $15 to get into Sandy Hook and $75 for a season pass, why do they need Volunteers to clean the beach for them? Where does the money go other than to the people at the front who collect it and the rangers who just handout parking and speeding tickets?
