Where To Vote in Matawan on Tuesday

Despite the disruptions of Hurricane Sandy, the elections for national, state, municipal and school board offices are proceeding as normal.

Seven days after Hurricane Sandy made landfall in New Jersey, much of Matawan Borough is still without power. As a result, certain polling locations in Matawan must be moved in order to accomodate the Nov. 6 election, according to Municipal Clerk Jean Montfort. There will only be two polling locations open on Tuesday. One will be at the Matawan Municipal Community Center and the other will be at the Freneau Firehouse at 109 Freneau Avenue (Route 79).
