Wednesday: Matawan Planning/Zoning Board to Hear Quick Chek Application
Quick Chek hopes to add a gas station and move down Main Street to a property at the intersection of High Street.
Quick Chek is applying to build a new convenience store and gas station further down Main Street in Matawan. The store is currently located at 58 Main Street next to Jonathan Ron Liquors at the intersection of Broad Street and does not have a gas station. According to a notice issued by Matawan Borough, Quick Chek hopes to build a new store, gas station and sidewalk at 40 Main Street. 40 Main Street is currently the location of Sultan Wok, a restaurant directly across from the Aberdeen-Matawan Train Station. The property at 40 Main Street was previously listed for sale on Weichert.com for $899,000, but the site now describes the listing as "no longer active."
