Thousands Attend Marlboro's Independence Day Celebration
The event was dubbed the "unofficial start of summer in Marlboro Township"
Nearly 5,000 people piled into the Marlboro Recreation Center Amphitheater with blankets and chairs in hand to listen to live music and watch fireworks light up the night sky on Sunday, July 8. The Independence Day celebration and unofficial start of summer in Marlboro Township featured Bruce Springsteen tribute band, The B-Street Band, preforming classic songs such as “Dancing in the Dark” and “The Rising.” Also at the event was the Marlboro-Nanto Youth Exchange Program, an organization designed for Marlboro students to travel to Japan and for Japanese students to travel to Marlboro.
