Monmouth County's coastal curfew remains in effect for 19 municipalities while being suspended in eight others. Only essential personnel may be outside and on the roads from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the following municipalities: Allenhurst, Avon-By-The-Sea, Belmar, Deal, Interlaken, Hazlet, Highlands, Keansburg, Keyport, Lake Como, Loch Arbour, Manasquan, Monmouth Beach, Neptune Township, Ocean Grove, Sea Bright, Sea Girt and Union Beach. Matawan and Aberdeen both issued Halloween curfews at their Oct. 18 council meetings. According to the proclamation delivered in Aberdeen, residents should enjoy Halloween with their children while being assured that their "properties and well being are protected."
