Update: Aberdeen Police Release Additional Details About Wednesday's Armed Robbery
Police are searching for a man and woman who allegedly used a gun to rob a Cliffwood Beach house while an adult and a child were home.

Police are searching for a man and a woman who allegedly flashed a handgun during the robbery of an Aberdeen home Wednesday night. According to Police Chief John Powers, at about 5:20 p.m. two people knocked on the door of a Raritan Street home and asked the child who answered the door who was home. The pair then proceeded to enter the home without permission, Powers said. The female stayed with the child while the male showed a handgun to an adult male resident while he robbed him of a backpack and pair of sneakers, according to police.
