Great ice cream, and very sweet kids. Place needs a major renovation, though. The smell alone in the place is very off putting, and it doesn't look especially clean in the shop area.
The ice cream is awesome, though.

The Ice Cream Palace has been a neighborhood institution for a very long time. Open year round (but call for seasonal hours), the Ice Cream Palace sells all homemade ice cream in every flavor imaginable. Flavors include cookies and cream, banana and strawberry cheesecake. You can't miss its memorable blue thatched roof, located in front of Strathmore's movie theater and bowling alley.

ICP has the best homemade ice cream in town. It is nice to go there and see the friendly high school/college students working there. my vote is for I C P

Unfortunately Ice Cream Palace was sold. The new owners didn't realize what a great place they had. They have changed the ice cream flavors and whoever is making the ice cream needs a new recipe because it has no flavor. It used to be you could order a small cup with two topping for $3.00 Now it is consider a sundae for $4.08. ( you would think the girl behind the counter would have informed me of this.) I am very disappointed this is a place my family frequented weekly and had all of our celebration cakes made. It is unfortunate that when things change they didn't change for the better.
