From the New Jersey Association of Realtors(NJAR®):

FEMA Still Seeking Rentals for Sandy Evacuees

Two and a half months after Hurricane Sandy reached New Jersey, FEMA is still seeking rental properties for New Jersey residents whose homes were either damaged or destroyed during the storm. With over a thousand families still residing in hotels, NJAR® is continuing to work with FEMA and the New Jersey Housing Resource Center (NJHRC) as part of the New Jersey Disaster Housing Task Force to identify available housing units for those impacted by Sandy.

While FEMA and the NJHRC are seeking available rental properties anywhere in New Jersey, based on a meeting NJAR® attended last week, the greatest need is for short-term rental properties in Atlantic, Monmouth and Ocean counties. For additional information or if you have a property you would like listed on the FEMA Housing Portal and the NJHRC website to assist those whose homes were impacted by Hurricane Sandy, please contact NJAR® Local Government and Regulatory Affairs Coordinator Bruce Shapiro at (732) 494-4713 or via e-mail at bshapiro@njar.com.
