2013 in Photos: Local Dance Student Performs at White House

Matawan-Aberdeen Patch takes a look back at 2013 through some of the more memorable photos captured around town. 

Our top photo of 2013 comes from the Arts in Motion Academy, where eight year old Jhailyn Farcon, who has trained at the Matawan school for the past four years, was among the four dancers chosen to participate at the 91st Annual National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington D.C.

"We are honored Jhailyn was chosen for such a special event," said AIM co-owner and instructor Kimberly Tam. "Her dedication to her craft and performance quality is inspirational. We are so excited for this performance and could not be more proud of our girl!"
