Municipal Meetings, Holiday Programs Scheduled This Week

Mark those calendars—below are programs, meetings and events you don't want to miss in Matawan and Aberdeen this week:

Monday, Dec. 2

The Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District and Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office will speak about heroin problems during a Monday, Dec. 2 program in the borough's middle school beginning at 7 p.m.

Matawan’s Unified Planning/Zoning Board of Adjustment is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Community Center.

Tuesday, Dec. 3

Aberdeen will host a Menorah lighting beginning at 6:30 p.m. at town hall. More information is available here.

A Matawan Borough Council meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Municipal Community Center.

Wednesday, Dec. 4

Aberdeen’s Planning Board is scheduled to hold a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. 

Thursday, Dec. 5

An annual tree lighting in Aberdeen kicks off at 7 p.m. at town hall. More information about the event, which features musical performances from local students, is available here.

It’s opening night for “Death Takes a Holiday” at Matawan Regional High School. Tickets are $10 for the 7:30 p.m. show and can be purchased at the door or by calling 732-705-5350. More shows are scheduled through the weekend.
