Halloween Costume Contest at Lloyd Road School

Lloyd Road School will host a Halloween Costume Contest & Magic Show on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. for children up to 10 years old. Prizes will be awarded.

The Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District (MARSD) Board of Education meets Monday at 7 p.m. at the Administration Building.

The Aberdeen Township Council meets at the municipal building on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Matawan Borough Council meets at the Matawan Municipal Community Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The MARSD’s Relay for Life Committee will hold its first meeting on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Matawan Regional High School for anybody interested in volunteering or participating.

The Freshman Academy and Civic Leadership students are sponsoring the event. The district hopes to raise over $92,000 for the American Cancer Society with the Friday, June 13, 2013 event.

Matawan Borough will sponsor a free rabies vaccination clinic on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Midway Hook & Ladder Fire Company on Broad Street. Vaccines are being offered to both cats and dogs. All dogs must be on a leash and secured and all cats must be in carriers. Questions may be directed to the Health Department at 732-566-0740.

The Matawan Borough Recreation Commission will meet at the Matawan Municipal Community Center on Thursday at 7 p.m.
