Fall Sports Awards, Holiday Harp Concert On Tap This Week

Monday, Dec. 9

Tweens in grades 4-6 are invited to make fleece scarf gifts at the Matawan-Aberdeen library. Two can be made during the 2 p.m. program, with one going to the library’s Mitten Tree. Registration is required.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

Matawan Regional High School athletes will be honored during the Fall Sports Awards beginning at 6 p.m. The schedule of events is available here.

A Matawan Disability Accessibility Commission meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Community Center.

Wednesday, Dec. 11

Today marks the final day parents of high school students can complete a survey on whether graduation should be moved to an external location to reduce weather-related issues. It can be found here.

Aberdeen’s Zoning Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. in town hall.

Thursday, Dec. 12

Special auditions for Matawan Regional High School’s spring production of “Big” will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday. The school is seeking two 12-13 year old boys and girls who can sing and dance.

Friday, Dec. 13

Harpist Dorothy Sikora will perform holiday favorites at the Matawan-Aberdeen library beginning at 7 p.m. Hanukkah, Christmas and traditional songs will be played on her 100-year-old instrument. Light refreshments will be available.
