Buy Fall Bulbs to Support Parents of Special People

Matawan-based Parents of Special People (POSP) is holding its Flower Power Fundraiser. Buy your fall bulbs and support a charity that benefits the special needs community. POSP has numerous events planned throughout the fall. Head to their meeting at the Aberdeen Township Municipal Building on Friday at 1 p.m. to learn more.

The Matawan Historical Society will hold its first fall meeting at the Burrowes Mansion on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Kevin Woyce will discuss his new book, Jersey Shore History and Facts.

The Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District (MARSD) Board of Education will meet Monday at 7 p.m. at Matawan Regional High School.

Strathmore Elementary’s back to school night will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. Lloyd Road Elementary’s back to school night will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. for fourth grade parents and Thursday at  7 p.m. for fifth grade parents.

Celebrate the end of the Matawan Aberdeen Public Library’s renovation project at an open house on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the library’s new meeting space on the lower level. Light refreshments will be served.

MOMS Club of Aberdeen/Matawan will be hosting an open house on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event will be held at the lower playground in Holmdel Park.
