Adopt Boss, a Dog Rescued One Hour Before Being Euthanized

Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue is a non-profit canine rescue group.

Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue (CODAR) is an Aberdeen-based, non-profit canine rescue group that takes in dogs from high-kill shelters and puppy mills along the east coast and works to find them any necessary medical attention, foster care and a forever home.

This week CODAR has sent Patch four puppies and their mom. If you are interested in adopting any of the animals in the slideshow, fill out the application online at www.castle-of-dreams.com.

Meet the six puppies and their mom shared with Patch last week.

Benny

Benny is a six-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix who weighs in at about 70 pounds. He is a really laid back and loving boy. Benny does take some extra time to adjust to new people but once he trusts you, he's your best buddy.  He has gotten along well with smaller female dogs and is completely housebroken, neutered and up to date on all shots. Benny does not counter surf, beg, or chew. He loves to cuddle with his stuffed animals. Because he can get nervous around people, a home with small children is not recommended.

Marnie

Marnie is a small, shy little girl who reminds me of a tiny little deer. She is so good in the house, completely housebroken, and so very sweet. She has come such a long way. She comes up and puts her head on you when she wants attention. Marnie is still very timid around new people and will need some time to adjust to her new surroundings, but once she does will be a very loyal, very loving companion. This sweet little thing so deserves the good life in the comfort of a loving home.

Eustus

Eustus is an adorable fox terrier who needs a new home because his family moving. He is approximately 10 years old, but you would never know it when meeting him. He has a funny, loving personality, and loves to play. He loves to cuddle with a pillow and enjoys to be around people. He looks at you with such intense caring when he's sitting by you and bonds instantly. Eustus is very well behaved, not a barker, knows commands and listens intently to his owners. What a great addition he would make. We would love to see this little guy find a home before he is displaced. If you have room in your home and heart, please fill out an application.

Boss

Boss is a Carolina dog saved only one hour before he was scheduled to be euthanized. What a lucky boy. He is a very sweet and playful dog who weighs about 30 pounds. He is heartworm negative and has his shots. He wants to find his forever home.
