The is sponsoring a local photography contest with the theme "Matawan-Aberdeen at Night" as part of its annual Summer Reading program. Entrants must be 12 years or older, and only one submission is allowed per person. All photos must be taken in Matawan or Aberdeen and have a night theme.
Contest submissions are being accepted until Friday, August 10, and winners will be announced Monday, August 12. Entrants must mail their photos to maplphotosubmissions@gmail.com. No print copies will be accepted. For full contest rules and guidelines, head to the library website.
All submissions will be uploaded to photoshare website Flickr, where they can be viewed by the community via a link from our website. The entries will be voted on by a panel of judges, and the winners will receive a gift card to Best Buy in the amount of $30, $20 and $10 for first place, second place and third place, respectively, as well as have their photographs put on display at the library.
