The Patriots opened their season with an impressive win over rivaling Christian Brothers Academy, 59-57. John Horrigan scored 19 points, and 17 in the first half, to lead the Patriots to a thrilling opening night win.

The Colonials have struggled early on in the 2011-2012 season. With losses to Rumson-Fair Haven, 46-33, Colts Neck, 68-32, and an over-time loss to Red Bank Regional, 55-50, Freehold Boro is still looking for their first win of the season.

Marlboro could not find their offense in their opening night loss to Rutgers Prep, 63-32. The Mustangs were held to just 11 points in the first half, hampering any chance that they held, early on.

Holmdel has come out strong early in the 2011-2012 season. They beat Iselin Kennedy, 49-41 in their opener with Christian Vikse leading the Hornets with 20 points. The Hornets then went on to beat Matawan Regional, 52-43, behind Robbie Cantelli's 12 points, pushing their record to 2-0.

The Huskies have been slow out of the gate, falling to Howell, 60-50 to open their campaign. Larry Smith added 11 points in their second game, where they fell to Holmdel, 52-43, to sit at 0-2.

Howell topped Matawan Regional in their season opener, 60-50, late last week to start the season 1-0. After losing the school's leading scorer of all-time, Howell is looking to a balanced attack all season, just like they had in Matawan.
