Matawan Huskies Take Home Championship
Local travel baseball team comes out of a weekend tournament with a championship.
The Matawan Huskies 11U Travel Baseball team emerged victorious in the North Brunswick Fall Baseball Classic tournament this past weekend.
The boys defeated East Brunswick 1-0 in the first game, Berkeley Heights 21-9 in the game two, Berkeley Heights 9-5 in the semifinals, and East Brunswick 8-4 in the finals.
The team is Managed and coached by Barry Chaskes, Joe Debold, Mike Meany, Ken Dietrich and Brandon Chaskes. The Huskies squad is Dylan Nuygen, Jack Debold, Jackson Aguilar, Vincent Guarino, Nico Clark, Chris Dietrich, Chris Gersbeck, Darin Teixeira, Mark Kawka, Colin Meany and John Buekers.
