Unofficial Matawan Aberdeen BOE Election Results for Write-In Terms

There are still a number of provisional ballots to count, Monmouth County Clerk's Office says.

The Monmouth County Clerk's Office is still busy counting provisional ballots cast for the Nov. 6 election. However, early results show two candidates taking a small lead for the write-in positions on the Matawan Aberdeen Board of Education.

According to the unofficial election results, available on the county website, Joelle Nappi has taken a slight lead over her fellow candidates for the one-year unexpired term in Aberdeen. The unofficial results also show Kathleen Gentile taking the lead for the three-year term in Matawan. However, neither candidate has a large enough lead for a winner to be determined until all votes are tallied and the official results are available.

No one was on the ballot for either term and all candidates ran as write-ins.
