Thank a Matawan-Aberdeen Teacher During Teacher Appreciation Week

Every year, a week is dedicated to thanking teachers for their hard work.

Teacher Appreciate Week runs through Friday, May 10, making it the perfect time to thank your teachers for all of their hard work this year.

In February, the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District named Neil Jackman, of the math department at Matawan Regional High School, the district's teacher of the year.

A teacher at each school was also honored for their efforts and dedication to teaching children this year:

  • MAMS: Kristine Nilsen, seventh grade language arts
  • Lloyd Road: Susan Kyvelos, fifth grade
  • Cliffwood: Tara Aprilante, art, computers
  • Ravine: Paula Murray, second grade
  • Strathmore: Diane Yorks, first grade
  • Cambridge Park: Sandra Rocco, pre-k special education

Tell us: What do you appreciate about your Matawan or Aberdeen teacher this school year? Is there a teacher you will always remember for the way he or she shaped your life?
