School District Changes Marking Period Schedule

Snow days made calender change necessary

Snow days have caused Matawan-Aberdeen Regional school officials to change the marking period schedule.

Schools used three snow days in December and January, forcing the scheduling change, officials said on the district website.

"The new end of marking period 2 will be Feb. 4, 2014, with report cards, future marking periods, high school midterms, and the last day of school to be adjusted accordingly," the message reads.

The calendar is expected to be available online beginning Tuesday. Matatwan-Aberdeen's school board must approve the change.
