Help Matawan and Aberdeen Students Start the School Year Right

Many local students are in need of basic school supplies, like notebooks and pencils.

Help a local child get prepared for the upcoming school year by donating backpacks and school supplies to the Matawan-Aberdeen Rotary Club.

Last year, the Rotary Club was able to surpass and this year the club hopes to collect 200. In addition, they are collecting other items a student may need, such as glue, crayons, notebooks, pens, pencils and folders.

Each backpack will then be filled with the donated school supplies and given to the nurses in the district who will distribute the bags to children in need, according to Rotary Club President Roseann Trevean.
