Back to School Bargains

Be on the lookout for the best school bargains as summer vacation comes to a close.

With the start of school just over a month way, parents have started to flock the stores in search of the perfect supplies so their child can start the school year off right.

The kids always say the summer goes by too quick, while some parents say it isn’t quick enough. But it doesn’t matter what your on because the 2011-2012 school year is near and now is the best time to stock up on the essentials.

Kmart offers $1 pocket folders, nine various products for 50 cents several Crayola products from 24 cents-$1.99 and character backpacks for $9. With the purchase of any backpack, they are giving a free lunch kit (5.99 value).

There are several Rite Aid “buy one get second one free” and “buy one get second one 50%” offers and products starting as low as 29 cents. In their 25% off section they have master locks for that extra protection of one’s property and alarm clocks for those early morning wake ups.

To assure that don’t every student is on top of their task Target has $7 white boards and personal planners. For the arts and craft student don’t miss the deal on $1 scissors and a six pack of roll-on glue sticks. Their $2.50 sale includes supply pouches and select mesh locker accessories to make it a little more personal.

Not only known for their toys now, Toys R Us has their “Crayola Dollar Days” with over a dozen products under $4. With the purchase of $12.99 and up backpack they are giving a free lunch kit to match.

STAPLES “Back to School Back to Savings” have locker assortments for $2, 500 count sheet computer paper and scientific calculators from $10-$125. They also have 25% off all SwissGear backpacks and a buy two get one free deal on one to two inch binders.

Check the weekly Walgreens circular for coupons inside that lower the cost of many products to under $1. High Trails or Anchorage backpacks are on sale for $9.99 with a buy one get one free deal. The store’s deal of the week is folders for 11 cents.

Don’t forget to mark a box of tissues and antibacterial soap on the shopping list to avoid germs. Supermarkets always have sales on them and while there take a look and see if they at their school section.

Walmart has 10 count packs of pen and notebooks for under $1 and books soxs to prevent damage for 57 cents. They also offer a large array of book-bags and lunchboxes that include designs of sport teams and TV characters under $15.  

Visit the stores and see the many unadvertised specials that are worth the trip and keep looking for that next great bargain. It’s out there.
