Matawan Borough Council Swears In Two Members

Two councilwomen were sworn in Monday.

Toni Angelini and Kimberly Daly were sworn in as Matawan Borough Councilwomen during the 2013 reorganization meeting Jan. 1.

Angelini (R) was reelected in November for her second term on the council. During her campaign, she emphasized her desire to focus on ways to better support the business community and continue to improve local parks and roads.

Daly (D) was elected to her first term on the council and is the only democrat. During her campaign, Daly said she planned to manage property taxes and identify places in the budget where money could be better spent on parks, recreational activities, and revitalizing downtown Matawan.
