Four Matawan Residents File for Borough Council Primary Election

The primary election is on June 4.

Four Matawan residents intend to run for the two open borough council seats in the November 2013 general election.

Republican incumbents Linda Clifton and Donna Gould and democratic challengers Joe Altomonte and Bonnie Krause all filed to be on the ballot for the primary election by the April 1 deadline. 

The term for a council member is three years.

Independent candidates have until June to register for the general election ballot. The primaries will be held on Tuesday, June 4 and the general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5. 

Patch will follow the local election all year, and will interview each candidate as November approaches.
