Curfew Set for Keyport Starting Monday Morning

As of 9 a.m., non-essential personnel should remain in their homes and off the road.

Keyport Mayor Robert McLeod ordered a mandatory curfew in the borough beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29.

As of 9 a.m., non-essential personnel should remain in their homes and off the road. Officials encourage residents in flood-prone areas to park their vehicles at high ground.

In his emergency delcaration, McLeod stated that instances not involving life saving matters will be considered low priority. Fire, first aid and police officials will not be able to immediately respond to non-life threatening instances such as sump pump failures or branches down on property.
