Agenda: Matawan Council to Discuss Several New Ordinances

The Matawan Borough Council will meet at 7 p.m. at borough hall.

The Matawan Borough Council will discuss several resolutions and ordinances at their regular action meeting Tuesday, Feb. 5 at the Matawan Municipal Community Center. 

The meeting will begin with a workshop, where the council is expected to discuss a property maintenance ordinance, a fire prevention ordinance and a forestry ordinance. 

During the regular action portion of the meeting, the council will introduce six ordinances. This includes an ordinance that would officially establish a joint Community Emergency Response Team with Aberdeen.

The council is also expected to take action on several ordinances, including authorizing the issuance of summer parking passes and authorizing the hire of two class two special police officers.
