Aberdeen Waives Permit Fees for Sandy-Related Construction

Permit fees normally charged for projects will be waived, township council decides.

The Aberdeen Township Council voted to approve a resolution waiving permit fees for any construction projects made necessary by Sandy at their action meeting Tuesday night.

According to a letter the township received from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, municipalities are permitted to waive fees. If a municipality chooses to do so, then the state permit surchage fee is also waived.

The Council's next meeting is schedule for Dec. 4 and is open to the public.
