Didn't there used to be a stairway down to Railroad Ave so that pedestrians could cross UNDER Cedar Lane near Palisade?

Take it slow turning at intersections and be prepared to stop if necessary. Get off your cell phones, no texting, put make-up on at home or at work (sure your boss won't mind), no beverages while turning and wake up when you're behind the wheel.

Totally can relate to the lady. I was hit by a car at the intersection of Cedar Lane & River Road in February 2011. Since then, the fear has stuck to me. It is very hard to get rid of anxiety. This evening, just about 1 hour ago, while I was crossing the intersection of Cedar Lane & Larch Ave, a car was speeding up to make a left turn and trying to passing in front of me. How could the driver do this!! I swear to God that I saw the walk light lighting up then I walked!! What was the diver thinking?! Trying to take a chance? Can't you just wait for a second?! Just one damn second!! Please!! I still want to happily live my life, okay?! Please!!! If the same damn thing happened to your family, how would you feel? Think twice before you "take action" for God's sake!!I :(

A year and half ago on Nov. 17, 2011 my son was struck by a vehicle while standing on the corner of Queen Ann Rd. and Cedar Lane. The light turned green for the traffic on Queen Ann Rd.and my son was waiting for the traffic to clear before he crossed Cedar Lane. The vehicle ran him over while making a right hand turn as he was STILL on the corner! My son who was nearly killed, was in the hospital for over 3 weeks with a shattered pelvis, broken femur, fractured spine and lacerated bladder. Yet the Teaneck police TO THIS DAY have yet to submit a report to the Bergen County Prosecutor's office, as they are required to do whenever there is a serious or near fatal accident. The intersection was not closed down after the accident for investigation and the driver was let go and only charged with careless driving . He wasn't even tested for intoxication! Cedar Lane is a death trap as it is but it doesn't help when the police are negligent in their duties. Avoid Cedar Lane if at all possible!

OMG Karen that is terrible!!!! How is your son today.? I don't understand how no action was taken what a shame! I aways go back streets and use Main st in Bogota to get around the disappointing and dangerous Cedar Lane. Please give my best to your son and to you and all your family.
