Update: Cambridge Drive Water Main Break 1 of 3 This Summer
New Jersey American Water plans to replace the pipe in an upcoming project in Aberdeen.
Cambridge Drive in Aberdeen was closed Wednesday afternoon following a water main break, confirmed New Jersey American Water spokesperson Richard Barnes.
The July 31 break was one of three on the section of road that connects Route 34 and Lloyd. There were also breaks on July 23 and on June 5, according to Barnes.
"We've had a number of main breaks on that road in the last several years," Barnes said.
According to Barnes, New Jersey American Water plans to replace several thousand feet of pipes in Aberdeen. He expects Cambridge Drive will be replaced within the year.
