Vehicle Went Airborne During Early Morning Ravine Drive Accident in Matawan, Police Say

No injuries were reported in the one vehicle accident

A vehicle hit a curb and went airborne, according to police, during an early morning accident on Ravine Drive involving one car.

Police say that Trevor Mclean, 39, of Matawan was driving a 1998 Lexus south on Ravine Drive when the vehicle left the roadway, hit the curb and went airborne, striking the brick wall near the entrace of the Tree Haven 1 apartment complex at approximately 2:53 a.m. Oct. 21.

According to Lt. Ben Smith, Mclean said he was on his way home from work and fell asleep behind the wheel.

No injuries were reported and charges are pending.

The accident was investigated by Matawan Patrolman Paul Ryba.
