Union Beach Man Charged with Burglary of Prime 34 in Aberdeen

Police say he gained entrance to the bar through a fire escape.

A Union Beach man was charged Friday with burglary, theft and criminal attempt by Aberdeen Township Police Department in connection to an incident at Prime 34. 

According to Chief John Powers, police were called to the Aberdeen restaurant and bar on Route 34 at about 3 a.m. Friday morning. An investigation revealed that Francis Weber, 20, allegedly entered a second floor office through a fire escape door and tried to take several bottles of liquor. 

Weber was allegedly found in the office by employees and the employees detained him until police arrived, Powers said.

Weber was arrested and committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of $45,000 bail. 

P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer. P.O. Raymond Cambell also assisted.
