Two Charged with Disorderly Conduct after Train Station Incident

A fight continued onto the platform when a northbound train arrived, police say

Two people were charged with disorderly conduct after an incident on the northbound platform of the Sunday night.

According to Aberdeen Chief of Police John Powers, a fight between two women began on a northbound train before it reached the station. The fight continued onto the Aberdeen-Matawan platform and police from both Aberdeen and Matawan responded to the scene at about 7:45 p.m.

One of the women and her brother were charged with disorderly conduct, Powers said. The other woman was treated by EMS at the scene, however it is unclear at this time whether she was taken to the hospital. There are currently no charges filed against the woman treated at the scene.
