Two Charged for Unlawful Discharge of Firearms in Aberdeen

Police say the two men were intoxicated when they shot a gun out of a window

Aberdeen Township Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Gaston Street and Woolley Street at about 3:15 a.m. Friday morning.

Officers determined the shots were coming from a home on Gaston Street, according to Chief of Police John Powers.

Further investigation revealed that two men who were intoxicated had been firing from a second floor window attempting to break bottles set up in the backyard, police said.

Sebastian Bianchi, 38, of Gaston Street and Shawn Levins, 25, of Keyport, were taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful discharge of firearms in the township. Both were released pending a municipal court appearance. Several rifles and handguns were seized by police.

Investigating officers were P.O. Raymond Campbell, P.O. Anthony Valentino,
and Sgt. Raymond Sosa. Lt. Alan Geyer, Sgt. Henry Chevalier, and P.O. Matthew
Lloyd assisted.
