Three Men Charged with Burglary at old Anchor Glass Factory

Three men were charged with burglary after an incident at the old Anchor Glass Factory on Cliffwood Avenue in Aberdeen.

According to Aberdeen Township Police, a resident reported on Mar. 2 at about 3:25 p.m. that he saw three men leave the property, which is owned by Somerset Development LLC, carrying bundles of copper. When the caller confronted the individuals, they fled on foot, police say.

P.O. Gus Grivas located three people matching the description given by the caller walking on Meinzer Street. According to Chief of Police John Powers, all three were evasive and attempted to flee when Grivas approached them.

Grivas was able to detain two of the individuals and take them into custody. P.O. Matthew Lloyd located the third man hiding in a screened porch at a home on Cliffwood Avenue.

The men were identified as James Cadestin, 21, of Aberdeen; Klenton Taylor, 19, of Old Bridge; and Christian Vuolo, 20, of Old Bridge. All three were charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.

Bail was set at $35,000 no 10% option for each of the men. They were committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default.
