Police: Suspect Caught After Resisting Arrest
Police say suspect ran from an officer in July
Aberdeen Township Police arrested an Aberdeen man on Aug. 8 along Route 35 on a warrant for resisting arrest.
Police say that Curtis Mitchell, 38, is wanted for contempt of court warrants out of Keyport and Atlantic City. Officer Michael Lasko spotted Mitchell near his home on Kennedy Avenue on July 18.
According to police, when Mitchell noticed Officer Lasko approaching he ran down the railroad tracks. A chase began but police lost sight of Mitchel in Midland Park.

Mitchell is being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of $5,000 bail.
